Dear Colleagues,
Dear Friends,

We have a pleasure to invite you to participate in the unique initiative – Twinning of Lawyers. For the third time lawyers from Caucasus, Central Asia, Eastern and Western Europe as well as from beyond are gathering together with the aim to develop knowledge, exchange of experiences, but above all – to strengthen friendship between lawyers from so many jurisdictions.

We hoped for a meeting in person this year, but uncertainty on health and foreseen a fourth wave of pandemic forced us to organize the Twinning in online form.

Our event is taking place on 16 October 2021 at 10.00 (Brussels time). Similarly to previous editions, this year two parts are foreseen:

a scientific seminar on Disputes resolution mechanism – to reduce burden on courts, and in consequence to improve access to justice, and
networking part for exchanging news and information between Bars and lawyers in a less formal, friendly atmosphere. We will also share information on celebrations of the 35th anniversary of the AEA-EAL.

Thanks to the engagement of the Council of Europe as Twinning’s coorganizer, the online interpretation will be provided. You can find below a general program and agenda of the meeting (subject to further changes).
